Hello to all the wonderful woodparents-
Here we are at the beginning of yet another wonderful year. The shop is buzzing with the sounds of puppet making, even though it is cold we work on. There will be a lot of BIG new changes in store for the woodbabies in '10. As many of you already know we are having a sale until Jan.15, this sale covers all of our normal stock puppets including custom orders, however it will not include hand sculpted or limited production creatures. There are also some changes to the general ordering of woodbabies, such as we will no longer be casting in a rainbow anymore our general production will be only black or brown. This does not mean the colors are gone only that we will be charging for custom colors. Last year we got a lot of positive feedback from everyone about the magnetic saddle, that being said starting this year we will be casting all our puppets with "belly buttons" as they have come to be called into all our creatures. As we introduce new breeds of woodbabies some of them will be standard with mag saddles, this will help to enhance the realism of the woodbaby and set it apart from the "competition". This year we will also be doing a limited number of certain creatures, to be announced later this month, so each one will be hand numbered to only 100 pieces. Sadly this year also says goodbye to the "crystal" series of puppets, due to the price and availability of the resin requiered. Some times we may find one hiding in a corner and try to get it out to a show, but we will not be looking very hard for them. If you run into one at a show adopt it fast they are a dead breed. Later this year there is a rumor of a very special one time run of 15 hand numbered pieces from a private art project that Master Bob is working on now. More info to come later. Currently some old favorites are being revived for another shot at greatness and some of the current range will be unavailable for a short time due to being resculpted for greater realism. Realism is a word we will use a lot this year because it is high time to seperate ourselves from our competition. We look forward to a great new year with help from everyone

I know I am a day late but I worked all day at the hospital with some very sick kids. Same with Christmas... Worked all day. I am traveling now to see my family to have our Christmas since I've been on call. Hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season. My sister will meet her bosom buddy today. I will have to see how she likes her. I hope she loves her woodbaby as much as I love mine.
Happy New Year Everyone.
Hey Gang
Today is Master Bob's birthday so give him so love

Sir Loki the Fire Fox made it home just in time for Christmas. He came on Thursday of last week when the box came I hoped it was my moms Fairy but it wasn't (I gave maom a picture of what it somewhat looks like for christmas). I had called on Tuesday about them and was told that they had been shipped I think they said the Fairy was shipped on Friday 12/18 and Sir Loki was shipped on Monday 12/21. Sir Loki's box showed up first that was strange that he showed up first. May Fona got slowed up because of all the snow we have gotten here in Iowa. Back to Sir Loki he is so cool. I did want his body fur to be gray with just a blue mohawk but I love him better the way he is. I love the tattoos he has and his green eyes (fitting since his names Loki) It took me a moment to get used to the wand. The only thing wrong was he didn't come with his saddle.
I'll post pictures latter.
I hope Fona comes soon.

Godryk didn't make it home before Christmas. I emailed and was told they had an issue with his wings (not enough leather) so they had to order more and got the shipment in on Monday. Since I'm flying to Florida tomorrow to spend the new year with a close friend of mine, I'm going to make a side trip to TMSKD. Even if Godryk isn't finished, I figure it'd be nice to see the old man again for a moment and I so want to see the new hatching series and see if any there call my name. I've gotten a bit of a bonus from work so if a creature catches my eye I can get it. I so want a female to go with the three guys I have. Someone's got to keep them in check.

Things were tight this holiday season, getting ready for our move and knowing I will be out of a job... however, we found some fun by going to Pirates Fest to see our friends at The Midsummers Knight Dream; while there I spotted a beautiful and unusually rare parrot; but alas, the funds to purchase such a lovely creature were beyond my means and I had to save what few pennies I had left to buy the love of my life something special for him for Christmas...I had even named the lovely creature "Lola"...she just looked like she was a showgirl from the Copacabana!
A few weeks prior to Christmas I had contacted "The Apprentice" (aka Gabriel) to purchase a gift certificate with the pennies I had earned to put towards the special creature that my Sir Rhino was having created. In speaking to Gabriel I found that my love had not put the down payment on his creature as yet, Gabriel intimated that he had other obligations come up...and there were still a few awaiting their hatching before my loves... thinking nothing of this; I just gave Gabriel the information necessary and made a lovely gift certificate heralding the arrival of the new hatchling...
Come Christmas morning I open a rather large box filled with peanuts and noticed the "wire"...my heart skipped a beat... then a bit of pink feathers and I KNEW it was my Lola!!! He had used his savings that was to be for his hatchling to purchase my Lola, and I had used my savings to purchase his hatchling!!! A true gift of the Magi (and no one had to cut off their hair or sell a watch...though I would have done either)...
It was a truly special Christmas for us both; and we thank the wonderful people at The Midsummers Knight Dream for all they do for us to make ALL of our dreams come true! :)

Getting the itching for another baby already. Going to be an interesting hobby, I suppose. c: Contact juggling and puppets.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any picture of any crows they've done? Owls, crows, and phoenix are listed under the same heading but there's only pictures of owls and phoenix.
It probably won't be a long time until my next order, but I like to keep options in mind. Haha.
